Mercedes-Benz wrote a new chapter in the history of the car manufacturer in 1959 with the introduction of the revised passenger car range. Three completely redesigned models, the 220 b, 220 Sb and 220 SEb, appeared under the slogan "The new six-cylinder models - in a class of their own". These models were characterized by a very spacious and elegant body, which was distinguished above all by the characteristic rear fins. The new model series also set standards in terms of safety, as for example a passenger cell with front and rear crumple zones was implemented for the first time. Between 1959 and 1968, a total of 344,751 111 and 112 series saloons and chassis were built at the Sindelfingen plant, which are now reproduced in an authentic and faithful representation with the miniature model in die-cast zinc with plastic parts, which is based on the hand-assembled precision model. The model is on a scale of 1:18 and consists of over 100 individual parts. Six parts of the model can be opened (doors, hood and tailgate). In December 1984, a new model generation was introduced in the mid-range series, which was designed as the successor to the 123 series. The cars were strongly oriented towards the compact class, with the aim of significantly reducing fuel consumption through aerodynamic improvements and the use of lighter materials. In 1989, a comprehensively revised model range was presented at the IAA in Frankfurt, which brought with it a number of innovations, including protective side strips, exterior mirror housings painted in the color of the car and improved seats. No wonder that the W124 series was also very popular as a police vehicle. The miniature model of the 230 E saloon W 124 is also part of this tradition. The precision model, which is hand-assembled from over 126 individual parts, not only impresses with a detailed representation of all interior details, but also with a white/green body and the "POLIZEI" lettering on the driver and passenger side. The Mercedes-Benz W201, also known as the 190 saloon, is without doubt one of the most successful models in the history of Mercedes-Benz. Its compact dimensions, low weight and increased economy made it one of the most sought-after saloons in the compact class. On December 8, 1982, it was eagerly awaited by the public and the trade press. The Type 190 had a carburetor engine, which was throttled from 109 hp to 90 hp by reducing the size of the intake and exhaust ports and using a new camshaft and modified valves. The 190 E, on the other hand, was equipped with a newly developed variant with fuel injection. The precision model of the top-of-the-range 190 E from Norev is modeled on the original in the greatest detail. In September 1969, Daimler-Benz caused a sensation with the presentation of the experimental C 111 vehicle at the Frankfurt Motor Show. With its extreme wedge shape, upward-opening gullwing doors and unusual, eye-catching paintwork, the super sports car from Untertürkheim was a real eye-catcher. It was also a technical milestone: the body was made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic and was riveted and bonded to the steel frame floor. The wheel suspension benefited from racing experience, and the drive was a three-disc Wankel engine that produced 280 hp and enabled a top speed of 270 km/h - an impressive performance for the time. The C 111 was repeatedly used for record runs and set several world records. The miniature model of the experimental vehicle is a detailed replica of the original. It impresses with its authentic paintwork and faithful reproduction of all interior details. The model is mounted on a printed base and packaged in a presentation box.
