All wheels are precisely tailored to the vehicle in terms of load capacity and size. Before the light-alloy wheels can be considered a safe companion for all journeys, they undergo an extensive development and testing program. Each wheel design must pass a series of stringent endurance tests in accordance with the strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines, all of which exceed the legal requirements. These include special test methods that simulate realistic road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.

Gloss-turned wheels undergo additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been passed may the wheels be included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.

Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
