All wheels are precisely matched to the load and dimensions of the vehicle. Before the alloy wheels can be considered safe companions on every journey, they have to undergo a comprehensive development and testing process. Each wheel design must pass a series of stringent endurance tests, which are carried out in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines and all of which exceed the legal requirements. This includes special test procedures that mimic realistic road challenges, as well as material testing using state-of-the-art X-ray technology.

Gloss-turned wheels undergo additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully passed may the wheels be included in the product range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.

Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
