Before the light-alloy wheels can become reliable companions on every journey, they undergo a comprehensive development and testing process. Each wheel design must pass a large number of endurance tests in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz standards, all of which exceed the legal requirements. This includes special test methods that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as material testing in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.

Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully completed may the wheels be included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.

Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
