Each wheel design must pass a large number of endurance tests, which are carried out according to strict Mercedes-Benz standards and far exceed the legal requirements. These include special test methods that mimic real road traffic situations, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.

Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully passed may the wheels be included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.
