Each wheel design is tested through an extensive development and testing program in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines. This includes endurance tests that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as examinations of the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities. Bright-turned wheels must also withstand highly corrosive salt spray and a 28-day climate change program. Only when all the tests have been passed can the wheels be added to the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels. The scope of delivery of the light-alloy wheels includes the wheels without tires, wheel hub covers, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
