Each wheel is precisely matched to the vehicle in terms of load and dimensions. Before the alloy wheels can prove themselves as reliable companions on all journeys, they have to undergo a comprehensive development and testing process. Each wheel design must pass a large number of hardness tests in accordance with the strict Mercedes-Benz standards, which exceed all legal requirements. This includes special test procedures that simulate realistic road traffic conditions, as well as material testing in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.

Highly polished wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully passed are the wheels included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.

Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
