All wheel designs have to pass a large number of endurance tests, which are carried out in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz standards and exceed the legal requirements. These include special test methods that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray machines.
Glossy turned or polished wheels are subject to additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only if all tests are successfully passed may the wheels be included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz forged wheels.
AMG forged wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
