Before the alloy wheels can be reliable companions on every journey, they have to undergo an extensive development and testing process. Each wheel design must pass a series of stringent hardness tests in accordance with the strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines, which exceed all legal requirements. These include special test procedures that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Gloss-turned rims must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully completed may the rims be included in the product portfolio as genuine Mercedes-Benz light alloy rims.
AMG alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
