Each wheel design must pass a series of stringent endurance tests in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines, which exceed the legal requirements. These include special test procedures that replicate realistic challenges in road traffic, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Polished wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully completed may the wheels be included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.
AMG light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
