All wheels are precisely tailored to the vehicle in terms of load capacity and dimensions. Before the alloy wheels can become a safe companion on every journey, they undergo a comprehensive development and testing process. Each wheel design has to pass a large number of load tests in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz standards, all of which exceed the legal requirements. These include special test procedures that simulate realistic challenges in road traffic, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.

Gloss-turned wheels undergo additional tests such as highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been passed may the wheels be included in the product range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.

AMG light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
