Before the alloy wheels are approved as safe companions for all journeys, they have to undergo an extensive development and testing process. Each wheel design must pass a series of stringent endurance tests in accordance with Mercedes-Benz guidelines, all of which exceed the legal requirements. These include special test procedures that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.

Gloss-turned wheels must withstand additional tests such as highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully completed are the wheels included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.

The AMG light-alloy wheels are delivered without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
