All wheels are precisely matched to the load and dimensions of the vehicle. Before the alloy wheels can become reliable companions on every journey, they undergo an extensive development and testing program. Each wheel design has to pass a large number of hardness tests in accordance with the strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines, all of which exceed the legal requirements. This includes special test procedures that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray machines.

Gloss-turned wheels undergo additional tests, such as the highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully passed may the wheels be included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.

AMG light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
