They are designed to meet the highest demands in terms of appearance, safety and handling. Each wheel is precisely matched to the vehicle through specific tests on its load-bearing capacity and dimensions and must pass numerous endurance tests in accordance with Mercedes-Benz guidelines. These include special test procedures that simulate real challenges in road traffic, as well as examinations of the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities. Polished and bright-turned wheels are also subjected to highly corrosive salt spray and a 28-day climate change program to ensure their quality. Only after all tests have been passed can the wheels be delivered as genuine Mercedes-Benz forged wheels.
