Each wheel design must pass a large number of hardness tests in accordance with the strict Mercedes-Benz standards, which exceed all legal requirements. These include special test methods that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
High-gloss turned or polished wheels undergo additional tests, including extremely corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully passed can the wheels be included in the product range as genuine Mercedes-Benz forged wheels.
AMG forged wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
