Each wheel design has to pass a large number of endurance tests in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz standards, all of which exceed the legal requirements. These include special test procedures that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.
Glossy turned or polished wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only after all tests have been successfully passed may the wheels be included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz forged wheels.
AMG forged wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
