To ensure that the wheels comply with Mercedes-Benz guidelines, they have to undergo an extensive development and testing program. This includes endurance tests that exceed the legal requirements, as well as special test procedures that simulate real challenges in road traffic. Bright-turned wheels must also pass highly corrosive salt spray tests and a 28-day climate change program. Only after all tests have been passed may the wheels be added to the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels. The scope of delivery includes the wheels without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
