Each wheel is specially adapted to the vehicle in terms of its load capacity and dimensions. Before the alloy wheels can be considered reliable companions on all journeys, they have to undergo a comprehensive development and testing process. Each wheel design must pass a series of stringent endurance tests in accordance with Mercedes-Benz standards, which go beyond the legal requirements. These include special test methods that simulate realistic road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray equipment.

Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully completed can the wheels be included in the product range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.

AMG light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
