Each wheel design is subjected to a rigorous testing program that exceeds all legal requirements. This includes endurance tests that simulate real-life challenges in road traffic and examinations of the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities. Bright-turned wheels have to pass additional tests such as highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day climate change program. Only after all tests have been successfully completed may the wheels be added to the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels. Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
