Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels are unique because they not only provide an outstanding appearance, but also guarantee the highest safety standards. Each design must undergo an elaborate development and testing program in which the load and dimensions are carefully matched to the vehicle. This program exceeds all legal requirements and includes tests that simulate real-life challenges on the road, as well as examinations of the materials in modern X-ray facilities. Polished wheels are additionally subjected to a series of tests, including a highly corrosive salt spray and a 28-day climate change program. Only after all tests have been passed can the wheels be sold as genuine Mercedes-Benz light alloy wheels. Each wheel is supplied without tires, hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
