This includes endurance tests that simulate real challenges in road traffic, as well as examinations of the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities. Polished wheels are also subjected to a climate change program and highly corrosive salt spray. Only when all tests have been passed may the wheels be included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels. All Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
