The wheels are not only visually appealing, but also offer maximum safety. Each design is subjected to an extensive development and testing program in which all Mercedes-Benz guidelines exceed the legal requirements. This includes endurance tests that simulate real challenges in road traffic, as well as examinations of the materials in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities. Polished wheels are also tested for corrosion and climatic changes. Only after all tests have been passed can they be delivered as genuine Mercedes-Benz light alloy wheels. Each wheel is precisely matched to the vehicle and is delivered without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
