Each wheel is precisely matched to the respective vehicle in terms of its load capacity and dimensions. Before the alloy wheels can become a safe companion on every journey, they have to undergo an extensive development and testing process. Each wheel design must pass a series of endurance tests that are carried out in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz standards and exceed the legal requirements. These tests include special test procedures that simulate realistic road traffic conditions, as well as material analyses in state-of-the-art X-ray equipment.

Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully passed are the wheels included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.

Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
