All wheels are precisely tailored to the respective vehicle in terms of their load-bearing capacity and dimensions. Before the alloy wheels become a safe companion on all journeys, they undergo an extensive development and testing process. Each wheel design must pass a large number of hardness tests in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines, which far exceed the legal requirements. This includes special test procedures that simulate real challenges in road traffic, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.

Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray or a 28-day climate change program. Only after all tests have been successfully completed may the wheels be included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.

Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
