The second generation of T-Models, which made their debut at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt in 1985, were very popular with private users and were often used as cabs. Like their predecessors, these T-Models were also produced in the Bremen factory, which had switched exclusively to passenger car production by this time. Just a few years later, in September 1989, the car manufacturer presented a completely redesigned mid-range model range at the IAA, which was particularly notable for its stylistic changes. Particularly noteworthy were the side flank guards, which distinguished the new models from their predecessors. The miniature model of the 300 D S 124 Estate is a real eye-catcher and is based on its larger role model in every detail. The faithfully designed and flocked interior makes collectors' hearts beat faster, as do the six opening parts on the 1:18 scale model (doors, tailgate and hood). Another highlight is the paintwork in an authentic color, with a star and the words "The faster the world changes, the more important lasting values are" on the driver and passenger sides. The precision model, which is assembled by hand from over 118 individual parts, is supplied in Mercedes-Benz Classic packaging. A screwdriver and a glove are also included to protect the model from fingerprints.
