The second generation of the T models was presented for the first time at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt in September 1985 and quickly impressed with its innovations. One notable innovation was the 143 hp 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel engine of the 300 TD TURBO, which was developed from the naturally aspirated engine and used in modified form for the 300 SDL S-Class export model. As with the previous models, production of the T models was also carried out at the Bremen plant. In 1989, the car manufacturer presented a completely revised mid-range model range at the IAA in Frankfurt. As part of the facelift, the focus was mainly on stylistic details of the body and interior. The miniature model of the 300 D T-model S 124 follows this great role model. The precision model, which is handcrafted from over 113 individual parts, is painted in an authentic color and has a faithfully designed interior. Six parts of the 1:18 scale model can be opened (doors, hood and trunk lid). In addition to the model of the 300 D T model, the packaging of the Mercedes-Benz Classic also includes a screwdriver and a glove to remove the collector's item without leaving fingerprints on the bodywork or glazing.
