The 190 SL is not a pure sports car, but rather a sporty and elegant vehicle for traveling and everyday use. The roadster was presented in its final form at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1955 and its style was strongly based on the 300 SL racing coupé. With its then newly developed 1.9-liter four-cylinder engine with overhead camshaft, it offered impressive performance on the road. The popularity and success of the 190 SL is reflected in the production figures: between May 1955 and February 1963, 25,881 examples of the touring sports car were produced in Sindelfingen, the majority of which were destined for the US market. Now the 190 SL is enriching the home collection as a miniature model and impresses with its attention to detail. The model car is not only painted in the authentic color, but also shows all interior details true to the original. The doors, hood and tailgate of the vehicle can be opened to provide a view of the interior. The precision model is supplied with an enclosed hard and soft top. An enclosed screwdriver makes it easy to remove the model from the packaging. A glove to protect against fingerprints on the glazing or painted bodywork completes the scope of delivery.
