Each wheel design must pass a series of stringent endurance tests in accordance with the strict Mercedes-Benz guidelines, which exceed all legal requirements. These include special test methods that simulate real traffic situations, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.

Highly polished wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only after all tests have been successfully completed may the wheels be included in the product range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.
