Each wheel design has to pass a series of endurance tests in accordance with strict Mercedes-Benz standards that go far beyond the legal requirements. This includes special test methods that simulate real road traffic conditions, as well as material tests in state-of-the-art X-ray facilities.

Gloss-turned wheels must pass additional tests, such as highly corrosive salt spray tests or a 28-day climate change program. Only when all tests have been successfully passed may the wheels be included in the range as genuine Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels.

Mercedes-Benz light-alloy wheels are supplied without tires, wheel hub caps, valve caps, wheel bolts and wheel locks.
